Mrs. Maryland American 2021

Aisha Hinton

Aisha Hinton is a native Marylander who is passionate about her community and its success. As a proud alumnus of Prince George’s County Public schools, Aisha serves as an active school board contributor, mentor, and school volunteer. After graduating from Florida A & M University, Aisha resided in Virginia and New York. Her love for Maryland, the pride and beauty of Bowie and Prince George’s called her back home to raise her family.

For over ten years, Aisha has served as a Program Manager within government services providing leadership for Coast Guard, Department of Veterans Affairs, and other agencies. Aisha holds several professional certifications including PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and Scrum Master to name a few. Currently, Aisha is a manager with Accenture, one of the largest consulting companies in the world, where she serves as a key sponsor in HBCU recruitment. Her love for project management also allows her to volunteer with non-profit organizations assisting with planning and project management needs.

A wife and mother of two, Aisha still finds time to serve her community. Aisha is a 12-year Veteran Girl Scout Troop Leader, a yoga instructor of eight years with certification through Yoga Alliance, a licensed realtor, and Postpartum Depression Advocate. After being diagnosed with Postpartum Depression, Aisha decided to amplify awareness and resources to help others by sharing her story and being a shoulder to lean on for others.

Driven by a strong connection to her faith in Christ, family and friends, Aisha lives by the golden rule and looks for the light within others. Her love for Maryland and belief in its residents to make our state stronger for future generations is why she is competing for Mrs. Maryland and honored to be Mrs. Bowie.
